KIDS GO FREE IN AUGUST

One child can gain entrance to the Castle and Gardens, or Gardens only until 31st August if accompanied by a full paying adult. Ripley Castle is a fascinating place to visit for all ages. There are even special tours of the Castle daily throughout the summer specifically for children (10.30am and 1.30pm) which are very amusing nd informative as there are fascinating stories to be told about its 700 year old history.

Ripley Castle wins Silver Award in the Enjoy England Awards for Excellence 2010:-

Ripley Castle is delighted to have received the silver award for Best Small

Visitor Attraction of the year in the Enjoy England Awards for Excellence 2010. The awards were announced at a glittering ceremony in Brighton on 23rd April 2010.

  Country Music Festival - Broken Spoke Festival :-

  The Country Music Festival will take place on Ripley Castle showfield from

  Thursday 26th August to Sunday 29th August 2010 inclusive.

  The Ripley Falconry Experience - Monday 30th August 2010:-

  A fabulous day out for the family this Bank Holiday. Come and see Ben Potter's

  amazing falconry displays both flying and static.

  White Rose Winter Festival:-

   White Rose Festivals are delighted to announce the launch of the inaugural

   White Rose Winter Festival here at Ripley Castle taking place from Wednesday

   1st - Saturday 4th December 2010.

  Katherine Jenkins & 'One Night of Queen a resounding success:-

  Over 5,000 people joined us here at the Castle on Saturday 24th July to hear

  the amazing Katherine Jenkins sing with the support of the National Symphony   

  Orchestra. She was outstanding. Everyone was in a relaxed mood, enjoying their

  picnics, and the atmosphere was electric when tribute band "One Night of

                          Queen", who sounded just like the real band, came on to perform. Everyone  

                          became very lively and started dancing. A great evening was had by all.

Ripley Castle wins Ackrill Media Group's Tourism Award:-

 Ripley Castle is delighted to have received the Tourism Award from the Ackrill Media Group. 

he presentation was made at an awards ceremony at Harrogate International Centre on

25th March 2010.

  Ripley Castle voted "Best Small Visitor Attraction of the Year":-

  Ripley Castle has been voted "Visitor Attraction of the Year (under 50,000

  visitors) in the prestigious Welcome to Yorkshire White Rose Awards 2009.

  The winners were annouced at a glittering ceremony and gala dinner held at

  The Royal Armouries in Leeds on 19th October 2009.

  Pheasant Approaching!:-

  This magnificent pheasant has been strutting around the castle grounds

  for some time now and has become incredibly tame.  He even now runs

  alongside the garden tractor! Today he decided to visit Sir Thomas Ingilby

  in his office for an impromptu photoshoot!

  Accolade for Sir Thomas:-

 Sir Thomas Ingilby has been named "Harrogate Ambassador of the Year" at

 the Hospitality & Tourism Awards held by Destination Harrogate at a

 ceremony held at the Royal Hall on 1st June 2009.

Ripley Castle voted "one of the best stately homes in the country":-

The Independent newspaper has voted Ripley Castle as one of fifty of the best stately homes in the country.  We came sixth in the newspaper's listing and were also nominated as one of the top ten stately homes in the country with beautiful gardens.
